Credentials: 

My professional career began in 1997 as the lead guitarist for the Colorado metal band Jag Panzer. I did three records with Jag Panzer for Century Media Records and played with them until 2008. During that same time, beginning in  2001, I joined Nevermore as their touring guitarist and recorded a live album with them. Subsequently, from 2007-2014, I was the lead guitarist for Megadeth, recording three studio and three live albums with them. After I quit Megadeth in November 2014, I started my own band, Act of Defiance. We signed to Metal Blade Records, releasing two albums, four videos, and touring the world before going on hiatus in 2019. Since 2019 I’ve been touring and playing guitar with Swedish metal icons In Flames, joining them following the release of I, The Mask. 

I've been teaching guitar since 1995 with styles ranging from Classical, Rock, Blues, and Jazz. 

I earned a degree in Classical Guitar music performance from the University of Denver and the Lamont School of Music. 

Teaching Concepts:
I offer training in all musical methods including theory, ear training, sight-reading, guitar technique and song performance. I evaluate the goals and objectives of my students and customize lessons for each individual.

Payments: 
My payment policy is as follows. Lessons are half an hour once a week and are billed per lesson. Currently lessons are $50 each. Payment is due in full on the final lesson of the month for the following month. For example, you will be paying for the entire month of February during the last lesson of January.

Cancellations: 
As a rule, I require 24 hours or more advance notice for you to receive credit for the cancellation of an appointment. Unfortunately, there can be no exceptions to this policy.

No Shows: 
If you do not show up for an appointment, without calling before the 24 hour cancellation period, then you will still be charged for the time, as you are removing my ability to schedule another student in this time slot. If this becomes a chronic re-occurrence then your time slot will be given to another person.

Waitlist:
There is a considerable waitlist for lessons, but please feel free to contact me for availability and don't hesitate to check back in on a regular basis to see if I get any openings.
